The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and Well-Ahead Louisiana’s WellSpot Designation (WSD) program designates St. Landry Bank and Trust Company as a Level 2 WellSpot. WSD improves health environments where Louisianans live, work, learn, play, and pray through evidence-based initiatives.

Organizations earn a Level 1, 2, or 3 designation based on the number of voluntary benchmarks implemented, with Level 1 representing the highest.

WellSpots are spaces and places in Louisiana that voluntarily implement healthy changes in their environment to help their employees and community live well. These benchmarks are tailored to each organization type—worksitechild care centerschoolcollege or universityrestauranthospitalhealthcare facility or faith-based organization.

At Level 2, St. Landry Bank and Trust Company has adopted policies to maintain a tobacco-free worksite, increase access to healthy food options, support breastfeeding accommodations, and offer self-assessment tools for heart health and prediabetes.

“We care deeply about our employees’ health and well-being. Our staff spends a good portion of their time at work lending us their talent and experience, so we are happy to provide our employees with a healthy work environment! We also know that healthy employees lead to happy employees, which means they will continue to deliver the high-quality service that our customers are counting on,” says Robbie Tomlinson, CEO.

WSD has more than 3,500 WellSpots statewide, over 500 of which are Level 1. For more information on how your organization can become a WellSpot, visit www.wellaheadla.com.
