The Hynson Dog Park and Walking Trail is located on Gilbert St. in the City Park area of Alexandria. This park has two fenced-in areas for residents to bring their dogs. One area is for smaller dogs under 25 pounds, and the other area is for dogs 25 pounds and over. Both areas have paved walking trails shaded bench areas, and plenty of grassy area for dogs to run and play. For pet owner’s convenience, there are water stations for the dogs with buckets and faucets to draw fresh water. There are also stations with plastic bags and trash cans to clean-up after the pets.
