The Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program(LBCHP) provides no-cost mammograms & Pap tests for women who qualify. Services include clinical breast exam, mammogram, pelvic exam, pap test, and diagnostic tests. Navigation services provide support, help making appointments, help getting to your appointments, connecting you to translation services, and making sure you get treated after cancer is found.
Requirements for participation:
- Age: Cervical cancer screening (Pap test) 21-64; Breast cancer screening (mammogram): 40-64. You can also get help if your’re younger than 40 and are having symptoms.
- Income: Your household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
- Insurance Status: Uninsured – You can get screenings and navigation support; Insured – You can get navigation support. If a needed diagnostic service is not covered by your insurance or you can’t afford you co-pay/deductible, LBCHP can help.
