Ochsner Health Center is hosting a smoking cessation clinic that provides services to patients to help them kick their smoking habit for good! The Ochsner Health Center has partnered with the Smoking Cessation Trust to offer free counseling and medications to those who want to improve their health by quitting using tobacco. To be eligible for the free program you must be a Louisiana resident and have started smoking before 1988.
The smoking cessation clinic offers the opportunity to meet with a certified tobacco treatment specialist who will assist you in developing an individualized quit plan for you including the selection of a quit date. You will receive counseling, prescriptions for tobacco cessation medications, and follow up phone calls to check how you are doing. For any questions please email us at tobaccofree@ochsner.org.
