The Health Enrichment Network (THEN) is a non-profit organization that exists to improve the quality of life for individuals in Allen Parish. THEN offers diabetes education and prevention programs for all community members. Patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes, or believe they may be at risk for developing the disease are encouraged to participant. THEN’s Diabetes Prevention Program can help participants develop a healthier lifestyle and reduce the risks this condition to pose to one’s health.
THEN’s Diabetes Prevention Program offers:
- One on one nutrition teaching sessions by appointment
- Monthly education meetings (last Thursday of each month)
- Meter checks
- Yearly foot exam
- Behavioral education topics
- Exercise programs
- Understanding diabetes topics
