Join the Louisiana Diabetes Educators Network (LaDEN)
The Louisiana Diabetes Educators Network (LaDEN) is comprised of diabetes care and education specialists, including nurses, dietitians, mid-level practitioners, pharmacists and exercise physiologists, across the state of Louisiana who work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. We offer opportunities through the network for professional development and support through online meetings, webinars and in-person trainings. LaDEN provides a forum for diabetes care and education specialists across the state to enhance their diabetes care knowledge and strengthen their professional network to improve diabetes outcomes in Louisiana.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
Telehealth in Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES)
Updates in Diabetes Standards of Care
New regulations affecting diabetes care or coverage
Tips for improving patient engagement and compliance in the DSMES setting
Up to six additional educational opportunities will be facilitated through LaDEN during the year, with the possibility to earn CEUs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person trainings are expected to resume in the new year. Please check back for updates!
